When Verity tragically and unexpectedly lost her father in
1999, she found herself floundering in a sea of
insecurity. “All that I took to be constant, now seemed so
fragile and finite”, she says. In the midst of her
despair, she was inspired by a Paulo Coelho book to set
off on an 800km walk across Spain to Santiago de
Compestello.
This sacred pilgrimage proved to be deeply healing as
Verity found a safe channel for her grief as well as a
means to honour her dad’s wonderfully adventurous and
pioneering spirit.
