Car Torque was far and away the most popular motoring show
on television in South Africa.
Forty-two per cent of Car’s readers never missed the show or
watch regularly, while another forty-two per cent watch
Car Torque occasionally.
Car Torque significantly out-performed South Africa’s two
other locally-produced motoring shows, Top Car and Laat
Wiel, as well as BBC’s Top Gear and Discovery Channel’s
Fifth Gear, broadcast on DSTV.
